I have a few knitting projects in progress, and a few planned. Hopefully I can finish them by the time I return to Bluefield.

The first that I hope to finish is a scarf, in dark purple wool. Once it's finished, I'll transfer another project to the circular needles that the scarf is on. I'll also start a set of matching wristwarmers. After my first full year at Bluefield, I know that it's cold and windy for a good part of the school year!

The second project is a shawl, in lavender cotton. When it's not cold, there will be chilly days -- and some of the classrooms have the air conditioning high enough that a shawl will be useful in August.

I'd also like to knit a few Swiffer covers and washcloths. I love my Swiffer, but I'm less fond of paying for a box of the cloths to throw them away. Similarly, washcloths can be used to clean most surfaces and objects, or set underneath a hot mug or bowl.

I've also been re-creating my planner. I like to be as organized as possible, but planners found at Wal-Mart or Target aren't set up the way I like. In addition to creating a layout that works well for my needs, a self-made planner includes sections for information I like to have easily available (like fitness records or knitting patterns) and is in colors that I like.

Finally, I've been playing with copper wire and hematite combinations for jewelry. I'm also hoping to have a shop set up before too long.
